Implementing a Bilingual Family Literacy Program with Immigrant and Refugee Families

This research paper describes the design, implementation and impact of the PALS  family literacy program with immigrant and refugee families. PALS stands for Parents As Literacy Supporters. This paper examines the use of the PALS program  in five linguistic communities in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia.
