We’re pleased to introduce new publication – Play and Learn Together: a Guide to Family Literacy in BC.

Are you new to family literacy programs? Are you a family literacy practitioner who would like a tool to reflect on your practice? Do you need a concise introduction to family literacy for supporters? This guidebook is for you.

Play and Learn Together covers the goals and principles of family literacy as well as outlining the different types of family literacy programs. The descriptions of programs in BC are samples that give a glimpse of the variety in family literacy programming. Resources and opportunities for professional development are outlined. Included is a practical tool for reflecting on and evaluating family literacy practice.
