Today is Global School Play Day! It’s a day to bring awareness to the importance of unstructured play.

Unstructured play is a child’s right and is integral to healthy development. It is play where children follow their own ideas without a defined purpose or outcome.

The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) has developed a Children’s Unstructured Play Policy Statement and Toolkit.

The Toolkit includes promising practices, research summaries, decision making tools, and infographics, including the following:
