Refugee Men’s Health and Well-being: Strategies for Language Instructors has been researched and designed to help EAL instructors and male students engage in topics around men’s physical, sexual and emotional health and well-being in a safe, supported way. It is intended to be used by male instructors teaching an all-male class.
Organized into four sections, Pathways to Wellness, Addressing Health Issues, Connecting to Community, and Building Relationships, it offers eight 3-hour lessons for CLB 3-5 students. This resource includes activities and handouts, and a resource list of BC information, services and EAL resources related to refugee health and well-being.
Thanks to BC TEAL for sponsoring this resource with a Health Education Grant.
