Pronunciation for Adult ESL Students
Date posted: November 8, 2018
Watch a pre-beginning level adult ESL class as they move through their weekly pronunciation routine and practice word stress with vocabulary words in their weekly reading. The teacher uses multisensory activities to engage learners and help them to hear and produce the rhythm of English.
This is one in a series of videos on pronunciation produced by the Minnesota Literacy Council. The videos feature experienced classroom teachers leading adult ESL classes through common classroom activities. Other videos in this series cover word stress fluency, voice quality settings, intonation, sentence stress, final consonant articulation and contrastive stress.
