First Nations Pedagogy Online
Date posted: June 16, 2014
First Nations Pedagogy Online was a BC project designed to inform the development of online learning initiatives for aboriginal students. The project website describes the distinctive elements of traditional First Nations educational approaches, including the focus on holistic growth and development, experiential learning, oral tradition and student-centeredness. There are suggestions for developing online talking circles, storytelling, and other learning activities.
While the participatory elements of the website seem to be inactive, there is quite a bit of information available on this site. A good place to start is the Sitemap.
