Christie – Listen to an audiobook: I recently listened to the last 15 minutes of The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Even though it was 50 hours long, Davina Porter’s fabulous narration kept me riveted all summer.
Heather – Learn something new: I do a lot of crossword puzzles. Some quick ones like this, and some tough ones that I never crack. I feel gleeful when I see big Sunday crosswords – I love working on them and I always learn something new.
Maureen – Write a story: I’ve been working on a children’s story based on my grandkids’ adventures in Zambia. Still trying to figure out if I should fictionalize it and have the animals talk. My working title this week is “Where’s my lunch?” 😊
Margaret – Play a game: I try to never say no to Scrabble!
Natasha – Visit your local library and Read aloud: We love our local library because there are always wonderful books to borrow and cozy spots to read them. It’s a great activity for any weather in the morning or at night. Just when you think you’ve read all the transportation themed children’s books out there it seems another 10 appear!
Tina – Play a game: Margaret is a Scrabble fiend. She’s helping me up my game!
