Decoda Library Reopens!

Date posted: September 14, 2020

The Decoda Literacy Library is ready to reopen! Once again you can have great resources, delivered to you, for free.

What’s different for now? Library loans may not be delivered as quickly as the library returns will be quarantined for 3 days after they arrive at the library. We’re starting with shipping loans once a week. And for now, loans are limited to books.

Thanks to all the library borrowers who have waited patiently to return their loans. Please send them along now. (Due dates have all been adjusted to September 18th.) Remember to use the prepaid return label so you don’t have to pay postage. Any problems with returns? Email for help.

If you’re not meeting learners in person at the moment, there are still ways to use the library. You can:

  • Borrow books with strategies, activities and background information to inform your work.
  • Borrow readers and workbooks for your learner to use.
  • Ask for help finding online resources. (Hint: Online resources are featured in our weekly newsletter, This Week in the Field. If you’d like to subscribe, email

Reminder: Decoda Library borrowers can request books by placing holds through the library catalogue or emailing

We’re excited to share our new resources with you! We’ll be featuring some of the newest here on our blog over the next few weeks.
