Child and Youth Mental Health Day coming soon
Date posted: May 1, 2015
Child & Youth Mental Health Day is on Thursday, May 7th. It’s a national day to promote awareness of the need for mental health support and care for children, youth and families across Canada. This year’s theme is ‘Sharing the Care.’ Click on the poster below for free resource sheets:
The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre reminds us to wear green next Thursday to show our support for the day:
We…encourage you to show your support for the day by wearing green! Why Green? In the 1800s, the colour green was used to brand people who were labeled “insane”. The children’s mental health community decided to continue using the colour green, but with a completely different focus. Green signifies new life, new growth and new beginnings (Source).
