Break the Fake

Today is the start of Media Literacy Week. From October 7th to 11th, Canadians are invited to Break the Fake by stopping the spread of false information. MediaSmarts has brought back the house hippos for this campaign.

How can you figure out what’s real and what’s fake?

You can also get individual videos for each of the four steps.

More information and teaching resources are available in the Break the Fake tip sheet, Break the Fake workshop and Break the Fake lesson plans.
