Community Adult Literacy Benchmark (CALB) Training – Part I & 2
Friday, November 2 & Wednesday November 14, 2018: 12:00 pm-1:00 pm
Note: This is a two part webinar
In the first session of this two-part series you will learn about the Community Adult Literacy Benchmark (CALB), where they came from, and how they are used to measure progress. Looking at the reading and writing domains, we will examine the cognitive processes that exist within these domains, increase understanding about what they are and how they fit together to support the development of complex essential skills.
In the second session, we will continue to learn about the Community Adult Literacy Benchmarks, with a particular focus on how we use them to assess learners in our programs and to measure progress. We will also show you how the Community Adult Literacy Benchmarks are linked to the Decoda digital badges through the Adult Literacy Database.
