Workplace Wednesday: Workplace Literacy Guide
Date posted: May 14, 2014
Would your literacy organization like to help employers prepare their employees to be more effective at work? Are you interested in starting workplace literacy programs in local businesses?
The newly published Workplace Literacy Guide, developed by ProLiteracy with funding from Pitney Bowes, is a resource to help organizations explore the practices and procedures for setting up a variety of formal workplace literacy programs. It includes information on steps to develop the program, bidding on the job, contracting for services, forming an advisory team, developing job profiles, setting goals and measurable objectives, and more. Sample documents are included in the appendices. To view this guide, click here (PDF format).
