Date posted: February 19, 2014

Every day in BC an average of 28 workers under the age of 25 are hurt at work. Each week 41 young workers sustain serious, life-altering injuries. (WorkSafeBC).

WorkSafeBC has a variety of online resources for young workers, employers, unions, educators, parents and youth community groups in their Safety at Work Centre. This is a good place to look if you want resources on safety for young workers.

And, there are resources designed for young workers such as the Getting a Job? Ask questions about safety brochure, Young Worker Exposure Prevention guides and 6 Minute Safety Talks.

WorkSafeBC is accepting entries for their 2014 Student Safety Video Contest. The theme is It’s Your Job … Don’t let your first job be your last. Details are here.
