Workplace Wednesday: Math videos for First Nations adults
Date posted: April 16, 2014
ACCESS Essential Skills for Aboriginal Futures (ESAF) is a house of learning designed to meet the needs of the urban Aboriginal community. The focus is on moving participants forward to meet entry requirements for further technical skills training or employment. The programs are developed for Aboriginal learning styles with a focus on Essential Skills.
ESAF has created a series of math videos that cover working with whole numbers, decimals, fractions and metric measurement. View the lessons here.
Included in the program is a video on cultural math, Get Math Cultural Skills at Work, showing how math is used in everyday life, in a First Nations context.
