The Golden Oak Award 2015 nominees

The Ontario Library Association has announced the nominees for their 2014-2015 Forest of Reading readers’ choice awards.  This popular reading program includes the Golden Oak Award, an opportunity for new adult readers to read books chosen specifically for them by librarians and literacy specialists.

This year’s nominees are:

  • The Clear-out by Deborah Ellis *
  • Every Day is Malala Day by Rosemary McCarney
  • The Hard Fall by Brenda Chapman*
  • Just Gone by William Kowalski *
  • Rainbow Crow: Nagweyaabi-aandeg by David Bouchard
  • Sentenced to Life at Seventeen: the story of David Milgaard by Cynthia J. Faryon
  • Rick Hansen: a Life in Motion by Don Quinlan
  • When I Get Older: the Story Behind “Wavin’Flag” by K’Naan
