Have you ever done an online search and the information you wanted was buried in a really large number of irrelevant results? There is online help to improve your search results. Here are a couple of sites with very good lessons on online searching skills:

Search Better
– These lessons from GCF Learn Free cover how to find information and evaluate its quality. The lessons are designed for learners to use on their own or as a supplement to in person lessons.

Search Education: lesson plans – These lesson plans, from Google, are organized by level of expertise in searching: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each level has a series of lessons designed for teachers.

And, here are a couple of places with regular search exercises to hone your online searching skills:
