Summer Reading and Free Books
Date posted: June 6, 2016
Do you catch up on reading during the summer? This year, to encourage you to include some professional development reading in your summer reading plans, the library is having a draw. If you borrow something from the Decoda Literacy Library during the month of June (free books), your name will be entered in a draw for one of two Chapters gift certificates (more free books!). The draw will be held on June 30th. One entry per person, so you can borrow everything you want to read at one time. The library is open to adults in BC who have an interest in literacy.
What kinds of things can you borrow? We have just received a few large orders including new resources on learning disabilities, English as a second language, math, and books and workbooks for students. Click here to see a list of the new resources or here to view the books in Pinterest. (You can keep checking; this list will be continuously updated over the next few weeks.)
And, it’s not just about new books. There are some great resources that aren’t new but you may not have had time to discover them. Pick a topic and take a look in the library catalogue. Or, even easier, contact the library at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for suggestions.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn something new and maybe win a prize.
