This Raise-a-Reader article describes a storytime at the Vancouver Public Library that is designed for children who aren’t comfortable in a large group setting, including children with autism.
In a small group setting, children enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, hands-on sensory activities and free play time. While good for children of all abilities, it is particularly good for children with special/sensory needs.
