Safer Internet Day 2018
Date posted: February 6, 2018
Every February, Safer Internet Day emphasizes the work being done around the world to make the internet a safer place for young people. This year’s theme is “Create, connect and share with respect: A better internet starts with you”.
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection has produced two new videos for Safer Internet Day about the biggest risks young people face online and what parents can do.
More information for parents is available on the ProtectKidsOnline.ca website.
For younger children, Zoe & Molly Online is an interactive series for Grade 3 and 4 that explores what it means to be safe when playing games online. It includes games and comics as well as lesson plans for teachers.
