MediaSmarts’ 2014 study, Young Canadians in a Wired World, found that teens love to socialize online and love to share photos.
To help parents support the positive benefits of Instagram while being aware of the privacy and safety issues involved in using the a popular photo and video sharing app, MediaSmarts and Connect Safely have produced A Parents’ Guide to Instagram. This concise guide covers parents’ top five questions about Instagram, how to share responsibly, how to represent yourself, and what to do if you’re being harassed.
