Levelling Up: The Quest for Digital Literacy maps the landscape of digital literacy policies and programs across Canada. This report from the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship explores the types of digital skills people are pursuing, the barriers to access, as well as the existing gaps and potential opportunities to improve digital literacy education and training.
One of the key findings is:
Many people in Canada are at risk of falling through the cracks, with low levels of digital literacy continuing to overlap with other aspects of socioeconomic marginalization, including low incomes, low literacy and numeracy rates, and remote and un-networked communities.
