Is learning a staircase?

Recently, Annie Murphy Paul wrote a short piece on how overlapping waves would be a more accurate description of learning than a staircase. Read her thoughts here.
Equally interesting is the quote at the end of her piece about embodied cognition. It’s part of a larger document, Bodies of Knowledge, that examines how mind and body work together, and addresses some of the myths about practical, vocational and real world learning.
The library has a book with the same title that deals with embodied learning in adult education. To borrow Bodies of knowledge: embodied learning in adult education, email firstname.lastname@example.org
