Human Rights and Work
Date posted: December 10, 2014
December 11th is International Human Rights Day.
The BC Human Rights Code protects British Columbians from discrimination in employment, housing, and services and facilities customarily available to the public.
Close to 80% of all human rights complaints in BC originate in the workplace. Human rights law protects against discrimination in recruitment, hiring, job assignment, pay rates, conditions of work and termination.
