Want to learn more about working with communities?
The Community Tool Box is a free, online resource with comprehensive information on taking action in communities. A public service of the University of Kansas, it has been continuously developed since 1994.
The vision behind the Community Tool Box is that people — locally and globally — are better prepared to work together to change conditions that affect their lives. Our mission is to promote community health and development by connecting people, ideas, and resources.
Designed for those working to build healthier communities, it provides over 300 educational modules on community assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, advocacy, and other aspects of community practice. It also has tips and tools including a Troubleshooting Guide to help approach common problems in community work. And, while there’s a lot available on this website, it’s easy to navigate.
