Building Preschool Vocabulary
Date posted: April 13, 2017
Using descriptive words in conversations and day to day interactions with children helps build their creativity as well as their vocabulary. Using Fanciful, Magical Language in Preschool briefly describes how this can be done in an early childhood setting and offers samples of descriptive words to use in a variety of learning centres. A selection of picture books full of magical words is listed in a separate document, Fanciful Children’s Books. The information is useful for parents and family literacy programs as well as early childhood educators.
