Decoda Literacy Solution’s Diana Twiss awarded Queen’s Jubilee Medal

ABC Life Literacy recently announced 30 individuals who were awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for their contribution to improving literacy and skills levels of adult Canadians while raising awareness about literacy across the country.

We are pleased to announce that Diana Twiss, Director of Adult and Workplace Learning here at Decoda Literacy Solutions, is one of the recipients.

Diana shared her thoughts upon receiving this award, “It is a real honour to be recognized with a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for my literacy work over the years. It is also incredibly humbling because I have rarely done anything alone. Every program developed, project completed, and document published was done as part of a team of dedicated and highly talented literacy practitioners – many who deserve this recognition as well.  I thank ABC Life Literacy Canada for the nomination and for drawing attention to the importance of literacy work across the country.”

Many of recipients receive this award for efforts that often go unnoticed by the general public. Decoda would like to recognize Diana and all of the other Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal winners across Canada for their important work in literacy.
